Premier League friendly results round-up
Top-flight English clubs were playing in every corner of the globe on Wednesday and we tipped up some cracking winners for bwin punters.
Wednesday saw Premier League clubs attain differing results in their pre-season friendlies, with Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United all winning on their respective tours, while in America, Liverpool and Chelsea both suffered high-scoring defeats.
United were in action in China against Didier Drogba’s new club Shanghai Shenhua and a solitary strike from new £16 million signing Shinji Kagawa was enough to give Sir Alex Ferguson’s side victory, as well as giving me a winning tip (under 2.5 goals at a price of 33/20).
Over in the US, Liverpool and Chelsea fared less impressively in the latest games on their respective Stateside tours.
As I tipped up at 33/20, Roma defeated a depleted Reds side 2-1 at Fenway Park, Boston, with a Charlie Adam consolation goal proving too little, too late for the Merseysiders after Michael Bradley and Alessandro Florenz gave the Italians a two-goal lead.

Meanwhile, over in Philadelphia, Chelsea lost 3-2 to the MLS All Stars in an entertaining game. The Champions League winners were trailing to a Chris Wondolowski goal before John Terry and Frank Lampard gave the Blues a 2-1 lead.
However, Chris Pontius equalised and a 90th-minute Eddie Johnson strike gave the All Stars a famous win, as well as ensuring I landed my 3/1 tip of five or more goals in the match.
Closer to home, West Ham started their tour of Germany with a comfortable 3-0 win over Rot-Weiss Efurt of Germany (another successful 91/100 tip), all the goals coming in the second half as Phil Ofusu-Ayeh put through his own net before Ricardo Vaz Te netted twice to leave the Hammers happy.
West Brom were also happy, as Steve Clarke got his first win on the board as manager with an impressive 3-0 success over Copenhagen in Denmark. Goals from Steven Reid, Shane Long and Gabriel Tamas secured the win for the Baggies.
All the top sides step up their pre-season schedule with games later on in the week, the pick of which sees Chelsea face AC Milan, with the Blues 13/10 to bounce back with a win. The Italians are 19/10, with the draw at 23/10.
Liverpool complete their US tour with a fixture against Tottenham Hotspur. Brendan Rodgers’ side are 17/10 outsiders to win the match, with Spurs at 3/2 and the draw at 11/5.
