Why both teams are likely to score when Madrid host Deportivo
With Depor finding the net on their recent trips to the Bernabeu, the wise money will be on both teams to score.
Deportivo La Coruna’s last visit to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid ended in a 6-1 thrashing, one of the Galicians’ worst defeats in a miserable season which culminated in relegation. Fortunately for their fans, this Depor side looks infinitely superior to the one which went down with barely a whimper.

Nevertheless, a victory for them against the champions looks unlikely, with Los Blancos priced at 13/100 to record their second home win in the league this season. Deportivo, meanwhile, can be backed at 29/2, while the draw is offered at 29/4.
Often the best way to get value out of backing Madrid at home is to invest in over 1.5 goals in the first half, a bet with a high success rate last season, and one which is offered at 17/20. However, for a slightly bigger price backing both teams to score at 23/20 looks like being a wiser investment. Madrid have looked less than solid at the back so far this season, conceding goals against Valencia, Getafe and Sevilla.

Indeed, Los Blancos’ defensive deficiencies seem to stem from the problems they have defending set pieces, with each of the aforementioned teams scoring from a dead ball situation. Deportivo are a tall side and have been in decent scoring form at the start of the season netting in four of the five matches they have played. They have also scored in four of the last five games they have played in the Bernabeu, and while winning the match seems beyond them, scoring at least once is well within their capabilities.
For some slightly higher odds invest in a Real Madrid victory by the scoreline of 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1. Priced at 31/10 this bet not only provides a decent chance of paying out, having proved to be the correct selection in two of the last five meetings at the Bernabeu, it is also a fun bet which has a great chance of holding punters’ interest until the final whistle.
Recommended bet: Both teams to score @ 23/20
