Andrew Clark explains why he is expecting three or more goals to be scored in the fixtures at Notts County, Crewe and Northampton this weekend.

Over 2.5 goals in Notts County vs Shrewsbury @ Evens
Notts County are flying high in League One and in their four games so far this season they have scored two goals in three of them. Add to that a 2-1 JPT victory at Scunthorpe in midweek and there is every reason believe they will once again be amongst the goals in this one.

Shrewsbury are likely to contribute to the goal tally as well, having scored in their last three League One matches, while also conceding in the last two. On top of that, County failed to keep a clean sheet in their last home game as they were beaten 1-0 by Walsall and a game of over 2.5 goals would be no surprise here.
Over 2.5 goals in Crewe vs Tranmere @ Evens
Tranmere have made a quick start in League One this season and have certainly been finding the back of the net. They have already won 3-0 at Carlisle, as well as posting 4-0 and 3-1 victories over Colchester and Leyton Orient respectively – so their matches are certainly giving us goals.
Crewe have played four times in League One so far and three of those games have produced over 2.5 goals, including a 5-1 thrashing dished out by Brentford. If the Railwaymen forget how to defend again, they could be in for a long afternoon.
Over 2.5 goals in Northampton vs AFC Wimbledon @ 13/20
This one looks the banker of the three, with both sides already being involved in some quite ridiculous goalfests already this season. Northampton have scored seven in their last three League Two matches and conceded the same total, so the law of averages tells us goals are assured at either end in this one.
Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon have been quite entertaining themselves (and that is just their defending). They have gone down 6-2 and 5-1 already on the road to Burton and Bradford respectively in League Two this season, as well as fighting out a 2-2 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge last weekend and losing 2-1 to Southend in the JPT during the week. If goals aren’t forthcoming in this one, call the police, because you have been robbed.
