Playing Away: Great prices on offer for Doncaster, Fleetwood and Bradford
Jack Beresford returns to bring some winter cheer to punters seeking potentially lucrative away bets in this weekend’s League One and League Two action.
Fog may have descended across the UK this week, but when it comes to League One and League Two, it’s pretty clear to see why you should back Doncaster Rovers to win at Notts County, Fleetwood Town to overcome Rochdale and Bradford City to beat Burton Albion.
With the chilly weather sending many inside over the past seven days, I have been happily braving the elements in my tactics shed to ensure punters get the best tips for big-money wins this Saturday.
It’s been a difficult few days involving denial, anger and then finally some acceptance as I at last admitted that Dean Saunders may well be a decent manager after all.
This admission has seen me back Saunders’ Doncaster to deliver at Notts County, as well as away wins for Bradford and Fleetwood on their trips to Burton and Rochdale respectively.
| Champions League | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dortmund | 1-1 | Bayern Munich | £150.00 | (13/2) |
| Dortmund | 1-2 | Bayern Munich | £160.00 | (7/1) |
| Dortmund | 0-2 | Bayern Munich | £175.00 | (31/4) |
| Dortmund win | £84.00 | (16/5) | ||
| Draw | £82.00 | (31/10) | ||
| Bayern Munich win | £34.00 | (7/10) | ||
While each team could make for worthy single bets, all three are also available at odds of just over 19/1, which adds up to returns of £408.17 for anyone utilising bwin’s free £20 for registering to back them in a treble.
Doncaster Rovers to beat Notts County @ 12/5
While it’s been difficult for me to admit it, Saunders has really pulled things together at Doncaster in recent weeks.
The Yorkshire club are among the in-form sides in League One, with 13 points gained from a possible 15 in their last five games, and they could well continue that run on their visit to Nottinghamshire.
Notst County are having a nightmare at the moment, as Keith Curle’s team are without a win in four league matches, with three defeats and ten goals conceded over the course of those matches.
Donny are in good form on the road too, losing just one of their last six away games and picking up seven points from a possible nine away from the Keepmoat Stadium.
Fleetwood Town to beat Rochdale @ 29/20
League Two newcomers Fleetwood Town have made a flying start to life in the division and already have one eye on promotion.
Gary Rowett’s team have lost just one of their last seven competitive matches and have proven particularly impressive on the road, having gone six games unbeaten away from Highbury Stadium.
Rochdale’s home form has been contrastingly poor, with just two victories to their name at Spotland so far this season.
The Dale have lost three of their last four in all competitions and have won just once in their last six home games. It all adds up to an away win for Fleetwood at 29/20.
Bradford City to beat Burton Albion @ 29/20
It may be a far cry from their Premier League glory years, but Bradford City are enjoying life in League Two at the moment.
The Bantams are dark horses for promotion to League One and given their recent form could well fancy their chances of finishing the weekend in the automatic spots as they are currently just a point behind third-placed Cheltenham Town.
Phil Parkinson’s team are on a four-game unbeaten run in all competitions and have lost just one of their last five games on a the road – a closely-fought 4-3 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge earlier this month.
The Yorkshiremen will have fond memories of their last match with Burton too, with the Bantams claiming a 3-2 win over Albion in the Capital One Cup earlier this term.
Their hosts are hardly in the greatest form either, as they are on a four-game winless run and have failed to take maximum points in their last three matches at the Pirelli Stadium.
Bradford will be confident of success here and look good things at 29/20.
