Home Heroes: Back Man Utd, Stoke and Everton for a 3/1 win

After two consecutive winning Home Heroes, bwinbetting's Neil Sargent is trusting United, Stoke and Everton to complete a very welcome hat-trick this weekend.

Home Heroes: Back Man Utd, Stoke and Everton for a 3/1 win

After the success of last weekend’s Premier League Home Heroes, where I backed Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea to win, this week I am hoping that Stoke City, Manchester United and Everton can keep up my fine run of form.

It was the second successive week that I have correctly tipped a winning home banker treble following a positive result in the international matches the week before last.

Dortmund 1-1 Bayern Munich £150.00 (13/2)
Dortmund 1-2 Bayern Munich £160.00 (7/1)
Dortmund 0-2 Bayern Munich £175.00 (31/4)
Dortmund win £84.00 (16/5)
Draw £82.00 (31/10)
Bayern Munich win £34.00 (7/10)

Swansea made a flying start to life under Michael Laudrup, winning their first two Premier League games, scoring eight and conceding none.  But since then, they’ve been held to a draw by Sunderland and then lost their next two without scoring a goal against Aston Villa and Everton.

Stoke have finished in the top half of a Premier League table based only on home form in three of the four seasons since they returned to the top flight and have already held both Arsenal and Manchester City at the Britannia Stadium this season.

Although Tony Pulis’ side are still waiting for their first win of the campaign, they beat the Swans 2-0 on home soil last season and with the likes of Peter Crouch, Charlie Adam and Michael Kightly in the team, it shouldn’t be too long before the home faithful have something to shout about again.

Michael Owen is also building up his fitness following two substitute appearances in recent weeks and I fully expect the Potters to get their season up and running on Saturday with a home win.

Man Utd to beat Tottenham @ 11/20

Tottenham haven’t beaten Manchester United in any competition since May 2001.  That’s more than 11 years and 26 matches since Spurs last tasted victory over Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.

On top of this, they haven’t beaten the Reds at Old Trafford since December 1989 and have lost six of the last eight tussles between the teams in the Premier League.

Since their opening-day defeat at Everton, the Red Devils have won four in a row in the league to move into second place, while Spurs’ narrow win over QPR last Sunday was only their second victory in five league matches so far – a win rate of 40% compared to United’s 80%.

With Wayne Rooney back in the mix after recovering from his thigh injury, expect United to dominate again with a home win.

Everton to beat Southampton @ 21/50

Everton have made a strong start to the 2012-13 Premier League campaign, winning three, drawing one and losing just once.

David Moyes’ side were handed a difficult set of opening fixtures at Goodison Park but they have emerged from matches against Manchester United and Newcastle with four points – a good return by anyone’s standards, even before you argue that it would have been six from six but for some poor refereeing decisions against the Magpies.

Southampton’s start was even tougher than Everton’s, having faced Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City already this term, but they came out of those games with their pride still very much intact.

Last weekend’s thumping 4-1 victory over Aston Villa will have given them confidence but Everton should just have a little bit too much for them on this occasion.

Back the Toffees to complete your Home Heroes treble.
