Back Super Seb to keep O’Neill smiling against Spurs
Sunderland's Sebastian Larsson is at football betting odds of 14/1 to grab the final goal at White Hart Lane.
Two weeks ago, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp would have had a home clash with Sunderland marked as three easy points, but their late 2-1 win against Blackburn showed that the Black Cats will be a totally different proposition under Martin O’Neill.
Midfielder Seb Larsson got their 93rd-minute winner in that game and the former Arsenal youngster will be extra-motivated to continue his best-ever goalscoring season against Spurs.
He’s 4/1 to score at any time but there’s more value in backing him at 14/1 to get the final goal again and new customers using the free £25 bet they receive when registering with bwin.com would win £375 if he does so.
O’Neill has an excellent record against Spurs with nine wins from 19 games as manager of Leicester, Celtic and Aston Villa, so will looking for his new squad to continue that run.

Welshman David Vaughan is one player who’s instantly benefited from O’Neill’s arrival and is 9/1 to get his second Sunderland goal after opening his account against Blackburn.
However, the Tottenham teams that O’Neill faced in the past weren’t a patch on the current title-chasing squad who averaged 2.8 goals per game in their recent ten-game winning run in the league.
Strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe have been at the forefront of that charge with eight and six goals respectively this season but they will need to be on form against the league’s fourth best defence.
Adebayor has tended to score in bunches and is 7/2 to get his fourth haul of two goals or more this season, while Defoe is always a good bet to get the first goal in games when he starts and he’s 7/2 to do so with bwin.
With a busy Christmas period coming up including a big derby against Chelsea, Redknapp may also give some of his squad players the chance to shine.
Of them, Niko Kranjcar looks the best option at 9/4 to score at any time, having impressed in the 4-0 Europa League win over Shamrock Rovers and got the winner in this fixture last season.
