Back Rangers to win at struggling Saints – but only just
As both these sides limp towards the end of disappointing seasons, Rangers look the most likely to end on a high note.
St Johnstone have lost five of their last six games and, with Rangers their opponents in their final match of the season, they look set to finish what looked a promising campaign bottom of the top-half in sixth place.
The team from Perth failed to score in five of those six most recent games, making a clean sheet for Rangers, at odds of 12/5, seem likely and a win for Ally McCoist’s side, at 91/100, even more plausible.
And there’s more bad news for St Johnstone: not only have they lost their last four games, but they have been losing by half time in each of them.
Therefore, a bet on visiting Rangers to be winning both at the break and at the final whistle makes a lot of sense at odds of 19/10.

New customers to bwin.com should take note of the fact that there have only been five goals in the three meetings between St Johnstone and Rangers this season.
Rangers have won both their visits to McDiarmid Park this season, but there is a glimmer of hope for the Saints.
The sides drew at Ibrox and with the goalscorers from Rangers’ victorious visits to McDiarmid Park both unavailable (Nikica Jelavic was sold to Everton in January, while Steven Naismith is still injured), we could see another share of the spoils, priced at 12/5.
And the Saints will take heart from their 2010 shock 4-1 win when they hosted the Gers.
Nobody is predicting St Johnstone to win by three goals this Sunday, but a home win would be, perhaps, the most fitting end to Rangers’ troubled season. The odds are 14/5 for Ally McCoist’s side to lose their final game.
However, St Johnstone’s poor form makes the away victory the safest option – although it could be a close-run thing.
New customers to bwin.com should take note of the fact that there have only been five goals in the three meetings between St Johnstone and Rangers this season.
