Goals Galore – Three League One and Two games to deliver over 2.5 goals

We need over 2.5 goals in each of the following three games for a Goals Galore treble paying out at over 4/1.

Goals Galore – Three League One and Two games to deliver over 2.5 goals

After a low scoring start in the lower leagues on Saturday, let’s hope for more attacking action as we pursue a goals galore League One and League Two midweek treble. This time around, I’m looking to games involving Scunthorpe United, Crewe Alexandra, Wycombe Wanderers, Gillingham, Morecambe and York City to produce three goals or more.

On Saturday I backed Sheffield United to help us to a goals galore treble but their less than assured 1-0 home victory means they could be one to avoid in the coming weeks.

Crewe, on the other hand, were a successful pick on Saturday and they certainly look worth sticking with given tonight’s opponents Scunthorpe were hammered 3-0 by newly promoted Crawley.

And there are two other games for which there are convincing cases for there to be plenty of goals, meaning not even a sluggish start to the League One and Two seasons can dampen my expectations of landing a goals galore treble at the second time of asking.

Over 2.5 goals in Scunthorpe v Crewe @ 4/5

Scunthorpe got off to the worst possible start against Crawley on Saturday, going down 3-0 against the newly promoted outfit. They will need to bounce back quickly on home soil against Crewe tonight and, at the very least, we can expect goals – Scunthorpe’s only other competitive game this season was a thrilling League Cup tie against Derby that finished 5-5. Crewe also lost at the weekend, 2-1 at Notts County, but their other match this season was a 5-0 League Cup victory. It would therefore be a surprise if we didn’t see goals at both ends of the pitch.

Over 2.5 goals in Wycombe v Gillingham @ 3/4

Wycombe started their League Two season with a 3-1 win at York on Saturday and taking into account last season, that is the third Chairboys game on the bounce that has produced over 2.5 goals. Gillingham also won 3-1 on Saturday, making it two competitive wins with over 2.5 goals in a row, and with both sides in good attacking form the two goalkeepers could find themselves with much to do.

Over 2.5 goals in Morecambe v York @ 83/100

Morecambe got off to a winning start with a 3-0 success at Exeter on Saturday, backing up their impressive 2-1 Capital One Cup win against Blackpool. Both their games so far this season have been away from home and both have produced over 2.5 goals, so back on home soil they should be confident of scoring a few more. York were beaten 3-1 at home to Wycombe on Saturday and that is the fourth of their last five League Two matches – stretchuing back to the 2003/04 season – to have featured over 2.5 goals. They have not won a game at this level in 21 matches so Morecambe will fancy their chances of bagging a few goals tonight.
